Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sascha Koniezko (ranked 5108 p4p, 105 weight class) and Brett Bersten (ranked 7907 p4p, 130 weight class). Koniezko comes to the cage accompanied by Imperial March (L.O.D. Rage Mix). Sascha Koniezko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brett Bersten!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bersten throws a lazy right hand but Koniezko sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bersten should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Koniezko throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Koniezko looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bersten tries a head kick but it misses.
Bersten avoids a punch combination nicely.
Koniezko fails to land the takedown.
Koniezko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Koniezko instigates a clinch.
Bersten has had enough of the clinch but Koniezko keeps him there for the moment.

Koniezko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Koniezko lands with a straight right. Bersten didn't see that one coming.
Koniezko avoids the head kick by Bersten.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sloppy strikes from Koniezko. Those never looked like landing.
Bersten throws a body punch but Koniezko moves out of range.
Bersten tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Koniezko paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Koniezko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Koniezko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bersten is trying to break the clinch but Koniezko is controlling him.

Koniezko moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
A head kick misses from Bersten.

Koniezko shoots in and gets a takedown into Bersten's guard.

Bersten pushes Koniezko off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Koniezko walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bersten checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Bersten throws a right and a left that both miss.
Koniezko cracks Bersten with a right hand to the side of the head.
Bersten misses with a double jab.

Bersten walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Bersten throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Koniezko.

Koniezko dives in and scores a takedown into Bersten's guard.
Bersten is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Koniezko gets to his feet - Bersten follows without any prompting.
Koniezko avoids the head kick by Bersten.
Bersten moves in looking to clinch but Koniezko pushes him off.
Bersten's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bersten duly obliges.
Bersten throws a head kick that misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Koniezko misses the target.
Bersten misses with a head kick.

Koniezko lands a left and a right that send Bersten crashing to the mat, dazed. Koniezko thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Bersten is rocked!
Koniezko lands with a right and another and another! Bersten is in big trouble! Koniezko lands again and this time it's lights out for Bersten! A quality knockout there for Koniezko.

A less than humble Sascha Koniezko misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
