Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arman Shaker (ranked 3502 p4p, 408 weight class) and Luke Rockstar (ranked 2251 p4p, 288 weight class). Rockstar has chosen Rockstar as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arman Shaker! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Rockstar! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rockstar takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. A head kick misses from Shaker. Shaker lands a leg kick that knocks Rockstar off balance momentarily. Shaker looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Good standup being displayed there by Rockstar as he connects with a hook. Shaker walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Rockstar takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Shaker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rockstar now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Shaker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rockstar manages to avoid it. Shaker rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rockstar counters with a left to the body. Shaker fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Shaker uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rockstar. Shaker changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Rockstar lands a head shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A head kick by Shaker misses and Rockstar counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Rockstar scores with a nice strike. Rockstar throws a hook but Shaker blocks it. Rockstar chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shaker can pounce on him.
Shaker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rockstar throws out the jab. Rockstar lunges at Shaker with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Shaker's hand. We've been informed that Rockstar has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

and Rockstar counters with a nice uppercut. Rockstar might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Shaker jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

The fight stays on the outside here - Rockstar looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Shaker throws a push kick but Rockstar slaps the foot to one side. Rockstar misses with a body shot.
Shaker moves forwards but Rockstar connects with a nice, crisp jab. Shaker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rockstar is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Shaker drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A jab lands there for Rockstar. Rockstar throws a hook but Shaker avoids it easily. A head kick by Shaker misses and Rockstar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Shaker slips under a jab. Shaker feinted with a counter takedown. Shaker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rockstar sprawls well initially but Shaker persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Rockstar is looking to get back to is feet but Shaker passes into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Rockstar's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rockstar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Shaker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Shaker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rockstar keeps working. Luke Rockstar dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Shaker throws a wild body kick that Rockstar sees coming a mile off. Rockstar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shaker.

and Shaker makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Rockstar is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Rockstar scores with a jab to the jaw. Shaker looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Shaker throws a leg kick but Rockstar sees it coming and moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rockstar staying out of range there. A jab lands there for Rockstar. Shaker throws a lazy body kick and Rockstar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Shaker looking for a sweep. Not yet Shaker, not yet. Rockstar sitting in guard here, content to control. Luke Rockstar has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Shaker holds on and takes a little breather. Rockstar throwing strikes from guard but Shaker blocks nicely. Shaker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Shaker takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Shaker lands a glancing blow to the side of Rockstar's head. An inside leg kick from Shaker misses. Rockstar has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Shaker takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Rockstar lands a nice looking body shot.

Rockstar clobbers Shaker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Rockstar digs a good body shot into Shaker's ribs. Shaker throws a head kick that misses and Rockstar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Shaker misses with a takedown attempt - Rockstar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Shaker takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Shaker on the wrong end of a nice hook. Shaker connects with a solid leg kick. Rockstar cracks Shaker with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. A jab from Rockstar does it's job there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rockstar looks to land a left hand but Shaker moved out of range nicely. Rockstar takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. A jab from Rockstar misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockstar tests Shaker's chin there with a solid looking shot. Shaker on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A telegraphed right hand from Rockstar misses the target. Shaker looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Shaker feints and then cracks Rockstar's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rockstar down. Shaker pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rockstar is out of range and Shaker settles back down. Shaker takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Shaker swats away the attempt to clinch by Rockstar. Rockstar has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rockstar fails with an attempt to clinch.
Shaker throws a lazy body kick and Rockstar counters with a lovely straight right hand! Shaker throws a solid leg kick but Rockstar takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Shaker. Rockstar looks like he wants to counter punch here. Shaker slips under a jab from Rockstar. Shaker feinted there with a counter leg kick. Rockstar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shaker. Shaker throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. It seemed like Rockstar was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Rockstar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Shaker moves out of range of the strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Rockstar misses with a takedown attempt enabling Shaker to counter with a crisp jab.

That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Rockstar misses with a looping right. An inside leg kick from Shaker misses. Shaker tries to land a front kick but Rockstar steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Shaker misses the shot to the body. Rockstar throws a hook to the side of Shaker's head but Shaker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Rockstar misses with a hook. Shaker ducked under it nicely. Shaker throws a leg kick but Rockstar checks it. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Shaker. Rockstar shrugs it off though. Rockstar swings for the body but Shaker moves out of range.

Shaker looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shaker stopping the sweep attempt from Rockstar. Rockstar keeping moving, preventing Shaker from controlling successfully. Shaker postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A jab from Rockstar misses. Shaker's corner is telling him to maintain position. Shaker stops Rockstar from standing up. Rockstar is pulling down on Shaker's head. It's preventing any offense from Shaker, at least for the moment. Shaker looking to control the position here, rather than advance. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rockstar is looking to control Shaker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rockstar avoid being mounted? Rockstar tries to roll over but Shaker keeps him under control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rockstar makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rockstar. Rockstar trying to keep a closed guard but Shaker is proving a slippery customer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rockstar keeps trying to improve his position. Shaker controlling from the full mount. Rockstar wants to control but Shaker is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockstar holds on for dear life, controlling Shaker's posture momentarily. Rockstar tries to get back to half guard but can't. Shaker looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rockstar gets back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Arman Shaker. I think Shaker has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
