Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Battle Ram (ranked 5417 p4p, 601 weight class) and Zoran Sablic (ranked 7636 p4p, 685 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Battle Ram!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zoran Sablic!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sablic rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ram counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sablic uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ram.
Zoran Sablic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ram throws a body punch but Sablic moves out of range.
Ram stuffs the takedown attempt from Sablic. Sablic gets slowly back to his feet.
Ram went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

enabling Ram to counter with a crisp jab.
No luck for Sablic with that takedown attempt.
Battle Ram has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zoran Sablic.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Ram counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Ram gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sablic loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Ram was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Sablic will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ram seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Sablic should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Sablic shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sablic has his takedown stuffed
enabling Ram to counter with a crisp jab.
Sablic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ram tries to avoid it but Sablic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ram to the ground. Ram escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ram connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Ram misses the jab.
Sablic shoots in but Ram avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sablic looks for a takedown but Ram sprawls well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Ram dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Battle Ram is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

It looks like Zoran Sablic has been cut.
Ram scores with a crisp jab that stopped Sablic in his tracks.
Ram connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

It looks like Ram has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ram lands a nice shot to the body.
Ram is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Ram works Sablic's body with a nice hook.
Ram lands a nice shot to the body.
Sablic gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Ram lands with a hook. Sablic tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Sablic goes for a double leg but Ram avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ram continues to drive forward.
Sablic throws out a loose jab but Ram uses good head movement to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Ram counters with a left to the body.
Ram lands a nice looking body shot.
Ram changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ram lands a nice shot that snaps Sablic's head back.
Ram throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sablic stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Sablic is breathing heavily.
Ram slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ram lands a body shot.
Nice straight punches there by Ram. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ram.

Ram scores with a one two! Sablic had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Sablic takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ram throws a series of punches but Sablic avoids them all with ease.
Ram throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sablic.
Ram clobbers Sablic with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Ram lands with a right that hurts Sablic. Sablic looks to clinch but Ram throws a short knee that drops Sablic. This one is all over!
