Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Kennedy (ranked 1717 p4p, 237 weight class) and Alexander Porto (ranked 1643 p4p, 227 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steven Kennedy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alexander Porto! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Porto rushes Kennedy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Porto throws an elbow that misses.
Porto has Kennedy pressed against the cage, preventing Kennedy from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Porto goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Porto. Nice body punch from Porto - that landed with a thud.
Porto dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Porto creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Porto creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Kennedy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Porto tries to throw a body punch but Kennedy avoids it by throwing Porto back against the cage. Porto pushes Kennedy back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Porto lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Kennedy tries to work over Porto's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Porto throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Porto tries a body shot but Kennedy blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Porto tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kennedy's elbow. Porto goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Porto lands a nice uppercut. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Porto creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Porto creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kennedy's defenses. Kennedy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Porto wants to stand but Kennedy has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Kennedy keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom. Porto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kennedy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Porto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kennedy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Porto scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Kennedy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Porto is aware though and is defending well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Porto trying to control the position from guard on top but Kennedy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Porto is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Kennedy has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Porto is looking to defend but Kennedy has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Porto! Kennedy pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Porto taps out and this one is all over!
