Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pacer Dalton (ranked 5063 p4p, 590 weight class) and Boyd Clark (ranked 6167 p4p, 566 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pacer Dalton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boyd Clark!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dalton takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Pacer Dalton has been cut.
Clark throws a sloppy head kick and Dalton moves out of range easily.
Dalton appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Clark stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Clark wants it to stay on the feet.
We've been hearing reports that Dalton has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Clark thows a body kick. Dalton tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Clark throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Clark feints a jab promting Dalton to slip. Clark then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dalton slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Dalton darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Dalton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Clark is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dalton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dalton's back!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Dalton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Clark for as long as he can get away with.

A close round but Boyd Clark will probably get the nod.

Dalton fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Clark avoids it really well and circles away.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Clark.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Dalton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Clark pinned against the cage. Clark gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pacer Dalton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dalton dives in and grabs Clark's left leg, looking for a takedown. Clark pushes down on Dalton's head and hops out.
Clark throws a series of punches but Dalton avoids them all with ease.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Clark holds on and takes a little breather.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Dalton is stinking the place up with his stalling.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Pacer Dalton will probably get the nod.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dalton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Clark throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dalton dives in and grabs Clark's left leg, looking for a takedown. Clark pushes down on Dalton's head and hops out.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Clark enables Dalton to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Clark manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Clark is looking for a sweep. Dalton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
