A punch lands to the side of De La Romana 's head but he takes it in his stride.

De La Romana is looking to clinch but Martinez is avoiding it.
Martinez sends De La Romana crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Martinez is motioning to the referee to let De La Romana up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Santiago Martinez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Martinez drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of De La Romana's head, knocking him out cold! Martinez is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
