Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vicente Lafayette (ranked 84 p4p, 11 weight class) and Stasius Venom (ranked 435 p4p, 70 weight class). Venom has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vicente Lafayette!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stasius Venom!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venom slips under a jab from Lafayette.
Lafayette looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lafayette throws the left hand but Venom avoids the punch easily.
Venom connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Lafayette throws out a powerful jab.
Lafayette wants to clinch up but Venom keeps it at a distance.
Lafayette takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Venom takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lafayette tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Venom was well out of range. Poor timing from Lafayette.
Venom looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Lafayette closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Lafayette lands a right hand that snaps the head of Venom backwards.
Venom misses with a short punch on the inside.
Venom breaks the clinch.
A decent looking cross lands there for Lafayette.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Venom loads up on a big right hand but Lafayette slips the punch.
Good exchange - Lafayette coming out on top.
Venom stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Venom throws a jab but it's blocked by Lafayette.
Lafayette tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Venom manages to circle out of the way.
Lafayette misses with an uppercut. Venom saw that one coming.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Venom walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Lafayette lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lafayette swings for the body but Venom moves out of range.
Venom throws a hook but Lafayette blocks it.
Lafayette tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Venom manages to circle out of the way.
A lazy left from Lafayette finds it's target.
Lafayette throws out a loose jab but Venom uses good head movement to avoid it.
Venom throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Some bone on bone action there as Venom checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Lafayette moves into the clinch.
Lafayette jumps guard.
Lafayette escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Venom gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lafayette is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Venom is sitting in close to Lafayette's body. Lafayette has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Venom is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Venom is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Lafayette.

Vicente Lafayette very nearly forgot to thank Revenge Clothing amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
