Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paddy Bateman (ranked 2068 p4p, 277 weight class) and John Dillinger (ranked 1884 p4p, 251 weight class). Dillinger has chosen Listen!! as his entrance music. Paddy Bateman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paddy Bateman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Dillinger! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dillinger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bateman moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bateman shoots in and gets a takedown into Dillinger's guard. Dillinger striking from the bottom.
Bateman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dillinger is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bateman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Bateman preventing the sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dillinger keeping full guard, as Bateman tries to pass. Bateman is working hard here to advance position. Bateman trying to control but Dillinger is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bateman tries to free his leg and advance position but Dillinger is retaining full guard. Dillinger wants to sweep here but Bateman controlling him for the moment. Dillinger being controlled here, momentarily. Bateman trying to control the position from guard on top but Dillinger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bateman looks to land a left hand but Dillinger moved out of range nicely. Bateman connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Dillinger's hands. Bateman misses with an uppercut. Dillinger saw that one coming. Bateman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Dillinger prevents Bateman from improving position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bateman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Dillinger is looking to reverse the position. Dillinger is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bateman off and has taken his back! Bateman staying busy and making it hard for Dillinger to control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dillinger is landing with strikes. Bateman can't take much more of this.
It looks like Paddy Bateman has been cut. Even with his hooks in, Dillinger manages to miss with strikes from the back. Bateman is keeping busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bateman covering up well and avoiding damage. Dillinger wants to control the position but Bateman frees himself and scrambles - Dillinger manages to regain control in side control.
Dillinger looking to control but instead Bateman has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Dillinger is pressing down on Bateman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bateman is holding on for now. Dillinger is still trying to improve position. Bateman is looking for a sweep. Dillinger is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bateman keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Bateman moves into full guard.
Dillinger with a nice head shot there. Bateman controls Dillinger momentarily but Dillinger frees himself. Dillinger preventing the sweep. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dillinger stays in close to Bateman's body and controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Paddy Bateman will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Paddy Bateman's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Dillinger throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Donk. Bateman catches Dillinger right on the button with a cross. Bateman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Bateman misses with a double jab
and Dillinger counters with a one-two to the body. A slow jab from Bateman misses its intended target. Bateman misses the jab. Bateman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dillinger is trying to get back to full guard. Paddy Bateman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bateman wants to pass to mount but Dillinger is defending the position. This has been an exciting period of action! Bateman is working for a kimura but Dillinger is defending it quite comfortably.

Bateman wants to free his trapped foot but Dillinger is holding on for dear life with his legs. Dillinger is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dillinger is trying to maintain the position but Bateman is very close to passing his half guard. Bateman controlling the action here. Dillinger wants to improve his position but Bateman is controlling well.
Bateman seems to be working for a kimura but Dillinger defends the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bateman trying to control from half guard but Dillinger is working away. Bateman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dillinger is just riding it out for now. Bateman eventually gives up the hold. Dillinger wants to improve his position but Bateman is controlling well.
Bateman works his way into side control. Bateman tries to move to mount but Dillinger blocks the move with his legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dillinger tries to bench press Bateman off him but Bateman keeps the position. Bateman trying to control the action but Dillinger is working from the bottom. Dillinger tries to improve position but can't. Dillinger manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Bateman desperately trying to maintain half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dillinger wants to control but Bateman is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paddy Bateman dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Paddy Bateman's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Dillinger tests Bateman's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bateman loads up on a big right hand but Dillinger slips the punch. A combination from Dillinger does no damage. Dillinger clobbers Bateman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A big left from Bateman misses. Dillinger scores with a jab to the head.
Bateman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dillinger is fending him off so far but Bateman persists. Nope, Dillinger circles away and we're back to standing. Bateman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Bateman fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bateman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paddy Bateman. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bateman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dillinger manages to avoid it. Bateman blocks a jab. Bateman throws a lazy right hand but Dillinger sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Dillinger throws out a counter right but Bateman avoids it with no problem. Bateman on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Bateman rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dillinger counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. A chopping leg kick lands by Dillinger. Dillinger throws a solid leg kick but Bateman takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Dillinger. Bateman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dillinger thumps Bateman with a low kick. Bateman lands a nice looking body shot.
Bateman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bateman takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Dillinger rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bateman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. No joy there for Dillinger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bateman drops down looking for a counter takedown but Dillinger sprawls and moves away. Dillinger fails to land with a series of punches.
Bateman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dillinger to the mat! Dillinger manages to get full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dillinger not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dillinger throws a nice elbow from the bottom. Bateman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bateman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bateman won't allow Dillinger to sweep him here. Bateman wants to control from the top but Dillinger keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dillinger stuffs the takedown. Bateman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dillinger. Bateman throws a hook but Dillinger blocks it. Dillinger clobbers Bateman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A clash of legs there as Bateman blocks the low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dillinger throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bateman. Dillinger fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bateman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. John Dillinger seems to be getting the better of the standup. Dillinger misses with a body shot.
Dillinger stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Bateman changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Bateman is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Dillinger fails to land with a series of punches.
A leg kick checked by Bateman. Bateman tries to counter with a takedown but Dillinger is quick to defend against it. John Dillinger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! No joy there for Dillinger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dillinger displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bateman throws out the jab. John Dillinger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bateman throws a series of strikes that have Dillinger backpedaling.
Dillinger walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Dillinger is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bateman slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Good exchange - Bateman coming out on top. Bateman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dillinger's waist but Dillinger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bateman off to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dillinger lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bateman has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bateman and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Bateman missing with a left hand there. Dillinger was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Bateman scores with a sloppy right hand. Dillinger should have avoided that one. Bateman goes for a double leg but Dillinger avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dillinger continues to drive forward. Bateman misses with a hook. Dillinger ducked under it nicely. Dillinger just misses with a punch to the body.

Bateman throws a looping overhand right but Dillinger ducks down to avoid it. Bateman throws a lazy right hand but Dillinger sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bateman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dillinger moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dillinger wants to slow Bateman down by chopping away at his legs. Dillinger motions for Bateman to come forward. Dillinger throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bateman takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Dillinger throws a hook but Bateman avoids it easily. Paddy Bateman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dillinger catches Bateman with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
And that's the end of the fight! John Dillinger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bateman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
