Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dante Boudain (ranked 33 p4p, 3 weight class) and Itse Perkele (ranked 43 p4p, 6 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Boudain might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Let the bodies hit the floor. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

35 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Itse Perkele!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boudain tries a head kick but it misses.
Boudain clobbers Perkele with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Boudain looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Perkele connects with a looping right hand.
Boudain connects with the punch.
Boudain thuds a left hand into Perkele's body.
Boudain tries to clinch there but Perkele circles away.
Perkele throws out a counter right but Boudain avoids it with no problem.
Boudain tries to clinch up but Perkele circles away and keeps his distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boudain looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It seemed like Perkele was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Boudain lands a jab to the nose.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boudain takes the fight into the clinch.
Boudain struggles to land a body shot inside as Perkele controls his hands.
Boudain goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Perkele swings wildly with an uppercut but Boudain uses good head movement to avoid it.
Perkele tries to break the clinch but Boudain is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Perkele tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Boudain avoids it.
Perkele wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Boudain scores with a shoulder strike.
Perkele manages to break the clinch.
Perkele throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Boudain on the side of the head.

and Boudain moves into the clinch.
Boudain goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Perkele tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Perkele throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Perkele swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Perkele.
Perkele misses with a hook to the ribs.
Perkele blocking some punches.
Boudain misses with a hook to the ribs.
Perkele lands a nice uppercut.
Boudain digs a right hand into Perkele's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Perkele's gas tank.
Boudain lands with a right to the head.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Boudain.
Perkele looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boudain scores with a nice hook to the head.
Boudain lands a left hand.

Perkele blocks a body shot from Boudain.
Boudain works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Boudain misses with a body punch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Boudain.
Boudain lands a right hand that snaps the head of Perkele backwards.
Boudain scores with a shot to the side of Perkele's head.
Boudain drops Perkele onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Perkele is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Perkele is rocked!
Boudain dips a shoulder and cracks Perkele with a mighty uppercut! Perkele falls back against the cage and Boudain unloads with a barrage of strikes! Perkele is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Boudain screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dante Boudain!
Dante Boudain retains his heavyweight title!
A relieved looking Dante Boudain thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
