The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stainthorpe lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Otis Bowman has been cut.
Bowman lands a high kick!

Stainthorpe closes the distance and clinches.
Stainthorpe blocks an uppercut.

Stainthorpe has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bowman is trying to keep an underhook but Stainthorpe manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Bowman flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Stainthorpe has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stainthorpe unloads with some shots from mount but Bowman bucks and avoids them well.
Bowman tries to hold on but Stainthorpe pushes him away.

Stainthorpe ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stainthorpe no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Stainthorpe swings around for an armbar but Bowman sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Stainthorpe's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Stainthorpe's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
A frustrated look appears on Bowman's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Stainthorpe is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Bowman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bowman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stainthorpe to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Well Stainthorpe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
