The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Talanoa fails with a takedown attempt.
Sekany gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Talanoa to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sekany can't keep his opponent in guard - Talanoa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Sekany tries to kick Talanoa off but Talanoa keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sekany is looking to control Talanoa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sekany avoid being mounted?

Jake Sekany spoke after the fight, saying 'Complete bullshit I could throw a ball at every judge, complete idiots. My opponent got lucky and I will be back. I never quit, I am like herpes, I go away but I just comeback stronger...'.
