Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bwanali Longwe (ranked 24003 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luther York (ranked 21505 p4p, 0 weight class). Longwe's entrance music is kojo funds dun talking. A fine choice. York is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "Hated" by Beartooth. Luther York looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bwanali Longwe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luther York! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Longwe throws a half hearted mid kick. York looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Longwe throws a leg kick but York moved away. And York tries to counter it with a takedown but Longwe pushes his down on his head and steps out. Longwe has closed the distance and engaged York in a clinch.
York can't get the takedown.
Longwe is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Longwe has picked York up - he's going for a ride! Longwe dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. York avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Longwe. Longwe is looking for a kimura here.
Longwe tries to stand and escape but York is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Longwe controlling the pace. Longwe throwing shots but York is blocking nicely. Longwe wants to pass to mount but York is defending the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Longwe trying to control the pace. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Longwe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. York wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Longwe stalling. Longwe tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Longwe trying to mount his opponent but York defends it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Longwe throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and York counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by York. Longwe wants to sweep here but York controlling him for the moment. Longwe looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. York grinds an elbow into Longwe's temple. York working away. York tries to move to mount but Longwe blocks the move with his legs. Longwe pushes York away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, York gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! York trying to control the position but Longwe is working away. Longwe tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That was a close round but I would say that Bwanali Longwe will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Longwe is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Longwe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for York on the ground. Longwe is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Longwe in particular looking to stall.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Longwe tries for a takedown but York sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. And York tries to counter it with a takedown but Longwe pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Longwe misses with a low kick. Longwe pushes York up against the cage in a clinch. Longwe jumps guard and drags York to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. York stopping the sweep attempt from Longwe. York should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Longwe is trying to keep York in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Longwe is pulling down on York's head to control his posture. Longwe looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but York puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Longwe wants to get back to his feet. Bwanali Longwe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. York perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. York is trying to control. Longwe wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. York manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Longwe on his heels. He'll look to pass Longwe's guard now, I'm sure. Longwe controls York momentarily but York frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Longwe has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. York is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Longwe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Longwe gets a double leg takedown into York's guard. Longwe has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Longwe trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Longwe is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that York can do to turn this around? Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! York thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bwanali Longwe dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Longwe wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Longwe motions for York to come forward. Longwe throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bwanali Longwe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Longwe has closed the distance and engaged York in a clinch.
Longwe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. York tries to sprawl but Longwe drives through with a takedown into half guard. Longwe is trying to control the action in half guard but York is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
York takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Longwe tries to stand but can't do so whilst York controls his leg. Longwe wants to control but York is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Longwe is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Longwe stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows York to get to his feet. Longwe works over York's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Luther York has been cut. Longwe clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Longwe manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. York prevents Longwe from getting back to his feet. Longwe will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
York is looking to stand up but Longwe won't let him. Longwe trying to control the position.
Longwe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Longwe tries to get out of the position. York got a little sloppy there for a moment and Longwe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, York has managed to get both his arms back between Longwe's legs - danger averted. Longwe throws his legs up looking for a submission but York uses it to pass to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. York stands up and beckons Longwe to his feet. Longwe shoots in for a takedown but York shows good takedown defense. Longwe closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. York did well to prevent Longwe getting side control. York looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Luther York has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Longwe wants to pass the guard but York is defending well. York is trying to maintain the position but Longwe is very close to passing his half guard.

Longwe lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Longwe seems to be looking for submissions.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. York is trying to stand back up but Longwe is controlling him
