Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ultime Fauchelevent (ranked 2754 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Jefferies (ranked 24293 p4p, 0 weight class). Fauchelevent comes to the cage accompanied by Rue des Cascades. The crowd seem to be enjoying Jefferies's choice of entrance music: King Of The Underdogs. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fauchelevent feints and as Jefferies raises his hands in defense, Fauchelevent changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fauchelevent slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Fauchelevent is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Fauchelevent engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fauchelevent stands and throws Jefferies's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fauchelevent remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Fauchelevent wants to control but Jefferies is keeping him busy.
Jefferies wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Fauchelevent has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Jefferies's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Jefferies is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Fauchelevent!
