Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Brian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Conrad Von Dutch! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Brian enables Von Dutch to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brian manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Brian has Von Dutch pulled in close to control his posture. Von Dutch loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brian looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Brian is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Brian could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Brian trying to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Von Dutch trying to control but Brian is working from the bottom. Brian has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brian is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Brian with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Brian looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Von Dutch looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Von Dutch trying to control here.
Brian working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Von Dutch trying to hold on to Brian's head to control him but Brian postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Von Dutch shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brian but Brian pushes him off and we're back to square one. Brian decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Brian is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Brian wants to work for an arm triangle but Von Dutch is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Brian wants to take a breather but Von Dutch is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brian content to control rather than advance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Von Dutch looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brian controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Brian dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Von Dutch gets caught flat footed, as Brian shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Brian pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Von Dutch is keeping the position for now. James Brian overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brian looking to sit in guard and control but Von Dutch gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Brian trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Von Dutch keeping full guard, as Brian tries to pass. Brian looking to sit in guard and control but Von Dutch gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Von Dutch must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Brian wants to improve his position but instead Von Dutch has moved into half guard.
Brian is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Von Dutch can do to turn this around? Von Dutch is trying to control the action in half guard but Brian is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Von Dutch uses his free foot to push down on Brian's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Brian. Brian is trying to reverse the position but instead Von Dutch has taken his back - oops! Von Dutch is not going to allow Brian to sit and survive in this position. Von Dutch is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Brian knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Brian for a finish. Von Dutch is not going to allow Brian to sit and survive in this position.

Von Dutch really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Brian. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brian is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Conrad Von Dutch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Brian looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Brian content to control rather than advance. Brian stalling away here and it's allowed Von Dutch to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Brian stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Von Dutch swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brian stands up and waves to Von Dutch to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Von Dutch pivots, looking for a leg kick but Brian is out of range and Von Dutch settles back down. Von Dutch fails with a takedown attempt. Brian throwing a counter right hand but Von Dutch manages to avoid it. Conrad Von Dutch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brian decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Brian wants to take a breather but Von Dutch is having none of it. Brian decides to return to a standing position. Von Dutch tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brian defends well and Von Dutch ends up having to push Brian into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brian decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Von Dutch takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Von Dutch gets back to full guard.
Brian wants to control from the top but Von Dutch keeps moving. Brian slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Von Dutch trying to remain calm as Brian controls from the top position. Von Dutch wants to control but Brian postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brian misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Brian trying to control the action but Von Dutch is working from the bottom. Brian decides to stand back up. Brian steps back and let's Von Dutch get back to his feet. Brian closes the distance and clinches. Von Dutch tries to pull guard but Brian forces him back to his feet, against the cage. James Brian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conrad Von Dutch. Brian ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Brian no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Von Dutch preventing the sweep. Brian is working hard here to advance position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Von Dutch slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Brian is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Von Dutch dives into side control.
Brian wants to control but Von Dutch postures up. Von Dutch thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Von Dutch working away.
And that's the end of the fight! James Brian showed his dominance in that final round. Well Brian has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
