Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elijah Monroe (ranked 24819 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucky Puet (ranked 7732 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Elijah Monroe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucky Puet! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puet looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Monroe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Puet swats him away and circles back towards the center. Puet appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Puet shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Puet was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Puet is looking to take a break and control but Monroe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Puet really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Monroe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Monroe is trying to control Puet's posture but Puet avoids it. Puet tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Monroe is trying to control Puet's posture but Puet avoids it. Monroe is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Monroe is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monroe is working hard here to advance position. Monroe holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Puet wants to stand but Monroe is controlling his arm. Monroe gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Monroe really is a fat lump. Puet missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Monroe is looking to control Puet's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Monroe avoid being mounted? Puet throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Monroe wants to control but Puet is keeping busy and won't allow it. Puet missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Monroe actively working from the bottom here. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Puet scores with a hook to the body. Monroe takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Puet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Puet clinches up against the cage. Puet tries to circle away but Monroe has him pinned against the cage. Monroe content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Monroe is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Puet has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Monroe clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Monroe has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Puet. Monroe covering up well under a series of strikes from Puet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Monroe looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Monroe turns into Puet and is now in his guard.
Puet is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Monroe is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucky Puet dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Puet scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Puet working away. Monroe prevents Puet from improving position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Puet is looking to take a break and control but Monroe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. I wouldn't like to be where Monroe is right now. Puet working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Monroe is looking for a sweep. Monroe sneaks back into half guard. Monroe regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Puet. Puet must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Puet throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Monroe works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Puet is breathing heavily. Monroe is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Puet wants to control from the top but Monroe keeps moving. Monroe is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Puet frees his head nicely. Oh but Monroe has switched to an armbar! Puet is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Elijah Monroe! Lucky Puet was interviewed post fight and said 'I am sorry.. It is my fault that I lose... Will be back to redeem myself...'.
