Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donald J Trump! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Griffin! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trump gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Trump's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Griffin throws a head kick that misses and Griffin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Trump jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Griffin throws out a leg kick but Trump moves out of range and Griffin only half commits. Trump uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Griffin has time to react. Griffin gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Trump can't do much from the bottom here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Griffin tries for a kimura but Trump is defending well. Griffin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Trump takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Trump on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Trump tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Trump looks calm but he's in trouble here. Griffin gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Trump is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Griffin lets go of the hold and Trump can pop his arm back in it's socket.
