Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ranky Scorpion (ranked 1445 p4p, 162 weight class) and Tony Abbot (ranked 2442 p4p, 278 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ranky Scorpion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Abbot!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Abbot misses the target.
Scorpion tries to counter with a takedown but Abbot is quick to defend against it.
Abbot lands a nice hook to Scorpion's body. Scorpion takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Abbot holds on and takes a little breather.

Abbot has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Scorpion is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Abbot.
