The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Chrome throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mecca stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mecca slips a jab and a cross from Chrome.
Chrome throws a head kick but Mecca moves out of range.
Chrome throws a series of punches but Mecca avoids them all with ease.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mecca lands a nice shot to the body.
Mecca fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mecca takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chrome gets caught flat footed, as Mecca shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mecca is pushing down on Chrome's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chrome is fighting to maintain full guard but Mecca has managed to sneak the leg through.
Mecca looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Chrome kicks off Mecca and gets to his feet.
Chris Mecca is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Chrome scores with a one two! Mecca had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Chrome rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mecca moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mecca looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Mecca shoots in looking for a takedown. Chrome tries to sprawl out of it but Mecca keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chrome manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chris Mecca will probably get the nod.
