The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Askren stuffs the takedown attempt from Sterling James. Sterling James gets slowly back to his feet.
Sterling James tries a head kick but it misses.
Askren scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Askren gets tackled into the cage by Sterling James. Sterling James maintains the clinch.
Askren pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Askren throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sterling James on the side of the head.

and Askren counters with a left to the body.
Askren stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Askren lands a body shot.
Askren drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Sterling James right on the button. Sterling James goes down! Askren follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Askren gets the win via TKO!
