Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fillis Diller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Henry Kilmer! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kilmer instigates a clinch. A knee to the head by Diller.
It looks like Henry Kilmer has been cut. Diller crunches a lovely knee into Kilmer's ribcage. Diller creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kilmer's defenses. Diller landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Diller is pressed up against the cage. Kilmer has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Diller down to the mat. Diller avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Kilmer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kilmer lands in his opponent's guard. Kilmer controls from within his opponent's guard. Kilmer looks gassed! Kilmer won't allow Diller to get back to his feet. Kilmer trying to control the position from guard on top but Diller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diller is looking to stand up but Kilmer isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kilmer sitting in guard here, content to control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Diller closes the distance but Kilmer moves to the side and Kilmer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Diller's guard. Kilmer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kilmer pushes down on Diller's leg and manages to get into half guard. Kilmer is tying to control. Diller wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Diller knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kilmer on the ground. Diller on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Diller tries to get out of the position. Diller is looking to escape. Kilmer looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kilmer missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Diller wants to get back to his feet. Diller wants to stand back up but Kilmer manages to pass into side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kilmer looks for a takedown but Diller sprawls well. Kilmer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Diller looks to clinch and Kilmer counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Diller! Diller wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Kilmer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Diller is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Kilmer tries to control but Diller wriggling away. A nice elbow there by Kilmer. Diller is trying to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kilmer trying to control but Diller is having none of it. Kilmer connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Diller wants to get back to his feet.
Kilmer has isolated one of Diller's arms. Diller looking to fight him off but Kilmer twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
