Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Buffalo Marley (ranked 694 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denis Prager (ranked 3009 p4p, 0 weight class). Denis Prager has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Buffalo Marley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Denis Prager!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prager fails with the takedown.
Marley lands a jab to Prager's midsection.
Marley lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Prager fails with the takedown.
Marley scores with a jab. Prager acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Prager shoots in for a takedown but Marley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Buffalo Marley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Denis Prager.
Marley scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Prager goes for a double leg but Marley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Marley continues to drive forward.

and Prager takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Prager's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Marley connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Prager scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Prager lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marley circles away quickly and effectively.
Prager shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Marley counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Prager thinking.

Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Marley!
Prager takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Marley scores with a body shot.
Prager looks winded!

and Marley counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Nice shot lands for Marley.
Marley thuds a left hand into Prager's body.
Marley throws a shot to the body.
Marley lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Prager's coach down at Play House was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Prager's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Prager is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Marley.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Prager looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Marley digs a good hook to Prager's body.
Marley lands with a thumping leg kick.
Marley looks for the body kick but Prager saw that one coming.
Marley jabs Prager to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Prager takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marley lands with a shot to the body.
Prager misses with a body punch
letting Marley counter with a right hand.
Marley moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Prager shoots in looking for a takedown but Marley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Prager's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Marley appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Denis Prager seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marley cracks a nice hook into Prager's ribs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Marley steps into range and cracks Prager with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Prager flops backwards and Marley dives into his guard looking to finish!


Prager is rocked!
Prager is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Prager is still in real trouble! Can Marley finish him?
Marley working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Prager seems to have recovered his senses.
Marley working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Prager's head.
Marley trying to control the position from guard on top but Prager is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Marley would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Marley trying to control but Prager is working from the bottom.

Prager is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Marley is aware though and is defending well.

Prager is looking for a triangle but Marley pushes his legs off easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Prager can do anything to dispel that myth.
Prager has his hands on Marley's head, controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marley wants to control from the top but Prager keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Marley punishes Prager's body with a nice straight punch.
Marley jabs at Prager's body.
Prager gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Prager takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Prager shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Marley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Prager tries for a takedown but Marley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Marley is looking to wear down Prager with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Marley cracks Prager with an open hand slap.
Prager with a poor takedown
and Marley counters with a left to the body.
Marley darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Prager fails to land the takedown.
Marley lands a really nice looking cross but Prager seems unphased.
Marley lands with a shot to the body.
Prager looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Prager takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Marley lands with an overhand left.
Marley finds Prager's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Prager flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Marley lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Prager will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Buffalo Marley!
Buffalo Marley was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
