Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Megaton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Steel!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Megaton thumps Steel with a low kick.
Steel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Steel fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Steel wants to clinch
enabling Megaton to counter with a crisp jab.
Steel throws a sloppy head kick
and Megaton makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Megaton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Steel closes the distance and clinches.
Megaton lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Megaton lands a hook to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steel looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Steel throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Megaton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Steel wants to clinch but Megaton slips to the side
and Megaton counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Steel thinking.

Steel rushes Megaton and presses him up against the cage.

Steel is trying to maintain a safe position but Megaton gets an underhook and turns Steel into the cage.
Steel tries to stall but Megaton uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Megaton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Steel slips a jab from Megaton.
Steel falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Megaton counter with a right hand.


It looks like Mike Steel has been cut.
Steel darts in trying to clinch
and Megaton counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Steel thinking.
Steel's coach down at Play House was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Steel's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Megaton throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Megaton fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Steel looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Megaton looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A head kick by Steel misses
letting Megaton counter with a right hand.
Mike Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Megaton scores with a nice strike.
Steel takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Steel throws a sloppy head kick
and Megaton counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


Steel is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A swing and a miss from Megaton.
Steel wants to clinch
and Megaton finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Steel tries to clinch up

and Megaton counters with a crisp right hand that drops Steel! Megaton lets Steel back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Steel is still on wobbly legs! Can Megaton finish him?

Steel moves into range and clinches up with Megaton.
Steel seems to have recovered his senses.
Megaton avoiding damage as Steel throws knees to the body.
Megaton scores with a shoulder strike.
A short body shot lands from Megaton as the two fighters clinch.

Megaton lands a right hand.
Steel throws a knee to the head but misses.

Megaton manages to break the clinch.
Megaton swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Steel.
Steel tries to clinch but Megaton moves away
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Steel gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Megaton digs a right hand into Steel's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Steel's gas tank.
Megaton avoids a wild elbow strike from Steel.
Megaton scores with a nice hook to the head.
Megaton blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Steel misses with a knee strike.
Steel tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Steel using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Megaton has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Steel looks winded!

Megaton manages to break the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Megaton counters with a massive head kick! KABOOM! Steel is out cold! A devastating KO!
