Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dementri Viscount (ranked 771 p4p, 96 weight class) and Francisco Salgado (ranked 1488 p4p, 176 weight class). Viscount comes into the arena with Kool Keith - Still the Best blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Viscount.
Francisco Salgado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Salgado throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Salgado throws a nice outside leg kick.
Viscount moves into range and connects with a jab.
Viscount jabs Salgado to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Viscount avoids the body shot from Salgado.
Viscount manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Salgado on his heels. He'll look to pass Salgado's guard now, I'm sure.

Salgado felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Viscount lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Salgado has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Salgado and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Salgado takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Viscount shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Viscount looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Viscount moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
OH! Viscount has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Salgado smells blood and charges in for the finish! Salgado unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Viscount sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Francisco Salgado decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
