Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rob Wheeler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Logan Ninefingers!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ninefingers tries to score with a low kick but Wheeler moves his leg out of the way.
Ninefingers misses with a takedown
and Wheeler counters with a three punch combo that has Ninefingers backing up. Ninefingers nods at Wheeler to acknowledge the strikes.
Ninefingers is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wheeler sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ninefingers moves out of range as Wheeler throws a body kick.
Ninefingers shoots in and drives through. Wheeler sprawls well.
Wheeler throws a big counter combination but Ninefingers scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ninefingers has momentary wrist control but Wheeler slips an elbow through the middle.
Wheeler could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ninefingers wants to hit a switch here but Wheeler passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Ninefingers there!
Ninefingers is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Ninefingers manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

It looks like Rob Wheeler has been cut.
Ninefingers has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wheeler is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Wheeler tries to pull guard but Ninefingers won't allow it.

Ninefingers is pressed up against the cage. Wheeler has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ninefingers down to the mat. Ninefingers avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ninefingers.

Wheeler seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Ninefingers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wheeler as he jumps to the side.

Wheeler ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wheeler no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Ninefingers wants to get up but he can't break Wheeler's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Ninefingers is fighting to break Wheeler's control of his arms but Wheeler is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Wheeler controls Ninefingers momentarily but Ninefingers frees himself.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rob Wheeler will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ninefingers shoots in looking for a takedown. Wheeler tries to sprawl out of it but Ninefingers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wheeler manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Wheeler tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ninefingers will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Wheeler up against the cage.

Ninefingers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wheeler shoots in for a double leg but Ninefingers sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Logan Ninefingers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
