Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vasile Vasla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasla shoots in looking for a takedown. Faehn tries to sprawl out of it but Vasla keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Faehn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Vasla throws a right and a left that both miss.
Faehn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Vasla shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Faehn pinned against the cage. Faehn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Faehn wants to counter with a clinch but Vasla pushes him away.
Faehn keeps the fight on the outside.
Faehn is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Faehn shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Faehn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vasla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vasla is not content to let Faehn control the position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Faehn in particular looking to stall.
Faehn wants to control but Vasla is keeping him busy.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Faehn connects with a nice short shot to Vasla's temple.

Vasile Vasla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vasla manages to get to full guard.
Vasla is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Faehn is aware though and is defending well.

Faehn won't allow Vasla to sweep him here.
Faehn cracks Vasla with a solid left hand.
Vasla bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Faehn 's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Faehn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vasla is controlling him.
Vasla is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Faehn wants to control but Vasla passes easily into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Faehn tries to buck Vasla off but Vasla is having none of it.
Vasla has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Faehn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Faehn trying to control the position from guard on top but Vasla is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Vasla is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Faehn frees his head nicely. Oh but Vasla has switched to an armbar! Faehn is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
