Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between MIke Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gator Raid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raid has chosen Rio de Janeiro as his entrance music. MIke Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, MIke Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Gator Raid! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Gator Raid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Raid scores a takedown into full mount! Raid working Jones over with strikes here. The referee warns Jones that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Raid is in the full mount, landing strikes. Raid cracks Jones with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jones is trying to stand up. Raid jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jones manages to avoid the submission attempt. Raid lands a nice forearm strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raid creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Jones is breathing heavily. Raid tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Jones struggling a bit here. Raid is chipping away with strikes.
Raid looks up at the clock and then as Jones takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Raid smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Raid is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jones knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Raid cracks Jones with a big elbow. Raid connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Jones some visible discomfort.
Raid working away. Jones is not in a great position here, taking some shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Raid looks up at the clock and then as Jones takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Raid smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Raid lands a heavy elbow. A nice elbow there by Raid. Raid with the ground and pound from mount. Raid lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Raid breaks from Jones's wrist control and lands an elbow. Raid postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jones looks a forlorn figure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gator Raid dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jones can't keep his opponent in guard - Raid advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Raid is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Raid works his way into side control. Jones is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Raid landing a few strikes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Raid scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Jones to see if he's OK. Raid goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jones has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Raid but great work by Jones. Jones has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Raid! Jones wants to take Raid's back here but Raid is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Raid tries to escape but Jones has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Raid preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Jones. Gator Raid has got the better of the ground game so far. Raid rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Raid strikes from the bottom but Jones uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Raid manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Raid is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Raid working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones works his way to full guard. Good work. Raid is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top! Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Raid looking for subs off his back but Jones has passed one foot through into half guard.
Raid flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Raid landing strikes from the bottom. Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Raid slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Raid looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there. Raid trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gator Raid showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Raid feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Raid changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Raid throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jones passes Raid's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Raid strikes from the bottom but Jones uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Raid misses with a strike from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Raid is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control.

Raid should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Raid working over Jones with some ground and pound. Jones looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Gator Raid is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Raid controlling the pace. Jones looking for submissions off his back. Raid keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Raid has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Jones pushes Raid off looking to stand but Raid dives back in and keeps control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Despite being in the dominant position, Gator Raid just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Raid gets the takedown into side control. The referee asks Raid politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Raid prefers to stall for the moment though. You can see the frustration on Jones's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Raid moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Gator Raid comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Raid has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
