Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jos Beton (ranked 2308 p4p, 296 weight class) and Alonzo Trotter (ranked 2296 p4p, 294 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beton closes the distance and clinches up with Trotter, looking for a takedown. Beton pushes Trotter against the cage but Trotter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Beton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Beton thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Beton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trotter keeps working.
Beton working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Beton is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Trotter has escaped the position, nice work there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trotter manages to work his way to half guard, despite Beton's best efforts.

Beton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Trotter is just riding it out for now. Beton eventually gives up the hold.
Beton wants to work for an arm triangle but Trotter is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Beton is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Trotter has managed to free his arm - good work.
Beton is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Trotter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Beton is working away from the top position though.
Beton passes the guard and advances to mount!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Beton avoids the attempt from Trotter to control.
Beton goes for an armbar but Trotter turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Trotter.
Beton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Trotter manages to get himself to full guard.

Beton is looking to pass into half guard but Trotter pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Trotter is in guard.
Beton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Trotter defends well.
Trotter distracts Beton with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Beton is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Trotter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Trotter wants to control from the top but Beton keeps moving.

Trotter sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Beton doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Trotter paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Beton - great work!
