Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rubens Charles (ranked 8816 p4p, 309 weight class) and Sean McAodh (ranked 8211 p4p, 297 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rubens Charles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sean McAodh! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Charles fails with an attempt to clinch.
McAodh moves into the clinch. McAodh manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Charles not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Charles stands and throws McAodh's legs to the side, diving into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McAodh seems a little lost for a moment, as Charles dominates the positioning.
That's one minute gone in the round. McAodh tries to get back to half guard but can't. McAodh is trying to escape the position but Charles is controlling the position. McAodh is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Charles staying calm. Charles moves into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Charles controlling from mount. McAodh wants to control but Charles is having none of it. Charles sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Charles fails to take his opponent's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McAodh wants to hold on but Charles pushes him away. Charles controlling the position easily from mount. McAodh wants to hold on but Charles pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Charles tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Charles seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McAodh for as long as he can get away with. McAodh wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McAodh wants to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rubens Charles dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Charles tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McAodh paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nice takedown defense from Charles. No joy for McAodh on that attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McAodh. Charles closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. McAodh quickly recovers to half guard. McAodh scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Charles manages to mount him!

Charles will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Charles has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of McAodh's body.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. McAodh wants to get back to his feet. Charles has the hooks in. McAodh is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. What can McAodh do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. McAodh tries to escape but Charles has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Charles not allowing McAodh to control his hands. Charles trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure McAodh doesn't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McAodh is trying to stand back up. Charles has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of McAodh's body.
Rubens Charles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Charles is hanging on to McAodh's back as he tries to escape.
What can McAodh do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
McAodh looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McAodh rolls, trying to escape but Charles keeps control of the position.

Rubens Charles dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Charles is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McAodh's half guard. McAodh scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Charles manages to mount him!
Charles content just to control the position here. Charles forces the positional change into back control. Charles is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McAodh can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McAodh can't escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McAodh wants to control his opponent's hands but Charles gets his hands free. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Charles has both hooks in and is working for a choke. McAodh is in real trouble here. Charles gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, McAodh is tapping out! Charles wins by rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rubens Charles! After winning the bout, Rubens Charles thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
