The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs tries for a takedown but Rasputin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rasputin leaves Jacobs with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rasputin connects with a body shot that sends Jacobs's belly button to the back.

Jacobs closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rasputin's guard.

Jacobs drops back looking for a leg! Rasputin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rasputin manages to kick Jacobs off! Jacobs jumps back into Rasputin's guard.
Jacobs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rasputin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rasputin wants to stand up but Jacobs is controlling him.

Jacobs is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jacobs thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jacobs wants to pass the guard but Rasputin is keeping the position.

Rasputin wants to get back to his feet but Jacobs is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jacobs is pushing down on Rasputin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rasputin is fighting to maintain full guard but Jacobs has managed to sneak the leg through.

Jacobs is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rasputin is just riding it out for now. Jacobs eventually gives up the hold.

Rasputin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jacobs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jacobs seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Rasputin is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
