Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between King Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geronimo Froila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Froila is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Quiero fumar mota. Geronimo Froila is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, King Fish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Geronimo Froila! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fish looks for a takedown but Froila sprawls well. Fish shoots in but Froila avoids the takedown attempt easily. Fish blocks a head kick by Froila.
Froila fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Fish shoots in and bounces Froila off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Froila keeping moving, preventing Fish from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fish tries to free his leg and advance position but Froila is retaining full guard. Froila is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Fish postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fish wants to control from the top but Froila keeps moving. Fish postures up in Froila's guard and throws a big left but Froila blocks it. Fish trying to stand up but can't free himself from Froila's guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fish tries for a takedown but Froila circles away easily and Froila counters by moving into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Fish. That's going to take a lot out of him. Froila pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Fish fails with the takedown and Froila counters with a single leg into guard. Fish didn't expect that. Fish is breathing heavily. Fish is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Froila is controlling him. Froila trying to control the position from guard on top but Fish is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Froila is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Froila content to stall in guard here. Fish wants to get back to his feet but Froila is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Froila really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fish. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Froila pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fish is keeping the position for now. Froila wants to control from the top but Fish keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Froila wants to pass the guard but Fish is keeping the position. Fish will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Froila shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fish's guard. Fish is trying to keep Froila in close.
Froila passes easily into side control. Nice work. Fish tries to bench press Froila off him but Froila keeps the position. Froila trying to control the position but Fish is working away. Froila working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fish is looking for a sweep. Fish is working hard here to advance position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fish closes this distance looking for a takedown but Froila circles away. Fish gets the takedown into side control. Fish looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Froila tries to control but Fish manages to take his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Geronimo Froila dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Fish closes this distance looking for a takedown but Froila circles away. Froila scores with a three punch combo!
Fish fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Froila clinches up with Fish and pushes him back against the cage. Froila tries to pull guard but Fish won't allow it.
Froila has Fish pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fish manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Fish jumps guard and drags Froila to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Froila looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Fish throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Froila's corner is telling him to maintain position. Froila must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fish is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fish wants to hit a switch here but Froila passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Fish there! Fish is trying to stand. Fish wants to hold on but Froila pushes him away. Froila can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fish is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Fish is looking to get to half guard. A nice elbow there by Froila. Fish gets back to half guard. Fish regains full guard. Nicely done. Fish manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Froila manages to get himself to full guard.
King Fish overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fish drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fish jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fish wants to stand and escape but instead Froila has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Fish is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Fish wants to take a breather but Froila is having none of it. Froila is trying is best to control the position here. Fish not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Fish not landing any meaningful shots this time. Fish winds up and cracks Froila with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Froila trying to control but Fish postures up.
Fish not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Froila fails with a takedown attempt. King Fish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Geronimo Froila. Froila tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fish swivels and escapes. Fish shoots for a double leg takedown but Froila sprawls well. He's pushed Fish's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Froila closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Froila wants a takedown but no success here.
Froila is working for takedown but Fish is calmly controlling the position for now. Froila stops a takedown attempt from Fish.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
King Fish dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Fish shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Froila's guard. Fish drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Froila dives on top into guard. Froila not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Froila trying to control but Fish is working from the bottom. Froila looking to pass the guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fish throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Froila trying to control the position from guard on top but Fish is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fish working for a triangle but Froila defends it easily.
Fish wants to stand up but Froila is controlling him. Fish is trying to control the position but Froila postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fish looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fish wants to control the position but Froila says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Fish looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Fish tries to get to full guard but Froila has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Froila is keen to just control but Fish is a slippery customer. Fish moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Fish is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fish keeping moving, preventing Froila from controlling successfully.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Froila shoots in and drives through. Fish sprawls well. Fish tries to clinch but Froila is having none of it. Fish shoots in but Froila avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Froila misses with a takedown and Fish counters with a nice double leg into side control. Froila won't be happy with that. Froila is looking to regain half guard here but Fish keeps moving and retains side control. Fish taking a break here but Froila is having none of it and regains half guard. Fish controlling the action here. Fish is looking for a kimura but Froila is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fish to get the leverage.
And that's the end of the fight! King Fish showed his dominance in that final round. I think Fish has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
