Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Kovalev (ranked 1677 p4p, 184 weight class) and Master Wong (ranked 1952 p4p, 223 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vladimir Kovalev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Master Wong! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kovalev throws a body punch but Wong moves out of range. Kovalev lands a jab to the head.
Wong closes the distance but Kovalev moves to the side and Kovalev counters with a two punch combo. Wong uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Kovalev throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wong sees it coming and avoids it easily. Wong doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Wong connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Kovalev looks to throw the jab but Wong is out of range. Kovalev misses the shot to the body. Wong fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kovalev, pushing him back against the cage. Wong misses with a knee to the head. Wong struggles to land a body shot inside as Kovalev controls his hands.
Wong throws a punch but it's blocked by Kovalev.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kovalev lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Wong backwards. Wong fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Wong working some nice short punches in the clinch. Wong lands with a light punch inside. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Kovalev lands with a short shot to the head. Kovalev swings wildly with an uppercut but Wong uses good head movement to avoid it. Kovalev blocks an uppercut.
Wong lands a left hand.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Kovalev. A shot in the inside from Kovalev. Kovalev is leaning against Wong and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Wong letting Kovalev take a breather here. Kovalev tries to stall but Wong uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Wong has a couple of punches blocked by Kovalev.

Wong throws a head punch that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kovalev misses with a hook to the ribs.
Wong tries to work over Kovalev's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kovalev is looking to control Wong's arms but Wong gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kovalev has his back to the cage. Wong doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
I was talking to Kovalev's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. A battle for position here, against the cage. Kovalev pressing his opponent against the cage. Wong tries a body shot but Kovalev blocks it.
Kovalev takes a shot to the head. Both fighters working to control the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wong. Wong lands with a light punch inside. Wong has a couple of punches blocked by Kovalev.
Wong tries to throw a body punch but Kovalev avoids it by throwing Wong back against the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Kovalev throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wongs head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wong lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Kovalev misses with a hook to the ribs.
Wong throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kovalev blocks it with crossed arms. Kovalev lands with a short shot to the head. Wong is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kovalev is defending well for now. Kovalev is trying to maintain a safe position but Wong gets an underhook and turns Kovalev into the cage. Wong misses with a punch to the body.
Kovalev tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Wong misses with a punch on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wong. Kovalev tries to work over Wong's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Wong tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kovalev's elbow. Kovalev pushes Wong back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Kovalev displaying some good clinch control by pressing Wong up against the cage. Wong looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kovalev tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A short body shot lands from Kovalev as the two fighters clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A short right hand to the side of the head by Kovalev. Wong jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kovalev walks away with a smile on his face. Wong gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kovalev misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wong.
Wong dodges the punch combination from Kovalev.
Wong swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Kovalev cracks Wong with a good jab. Wong takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Master Wong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wong bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wong throws a lazy uppercut
and Kovalev counters with a straight right hand.
Wong is rocked! Kovalev fakes the body blow, causing Wong to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Wong goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
