The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Maurice.
Maurice throws a low kick but Moorehead avoids it.
Maurice gets a clinch.
Maurice escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Maurice.
Maurice wants to control but Moorehead is keeping him busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Maurice tries to buck Moorehead off but Moorehead is having none of it.
Moorehead wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Maurice, who protects the arm well.

Moorehead closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Moorehead lands in his opponent's guard.
