Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kayne Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Machiro Hajia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hajia has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Machiro Hajia is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kayne Watson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Machiro Hajia! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hajia looks gassed! Watson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Watson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Watson stays in close to Hajia's body and controls the position. Watson wants to control from the top but Hajia keeps moving. Hajia is striking from the bottom but Watson uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Watson is looking to advance position but Hajia won't allow it. Watson is controlling the pace.

That's one minute gone in the round. Watson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Watson is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Hajia has managed to free his arm - good work. Watson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Watson stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Hajia to get to his feet. Hajia throws a head kick but Watson moves out of range.
Watson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Watson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Watson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hajia does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Watson working the head and body with strikes. Watson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hajia doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Watson. Hajia slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Watson trying to control but Hajia is working from the bottom. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Hajia has eaten all the pies! Hajia will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Watson gets the takedown into side control. Watson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hajia will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watson wants to control but Hajia is keeping him busy. Hajia is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hajia misses with an elbow from the bottom. Watson is trying to get an arm triangle but Hajia is defending well. Watson prevents Hajia from escaping the position. Watson taking a breather here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Watson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hajia fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Watson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Hajia throws a front kick aimed at Watson's knee but Watson avoids it well. Watson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Watson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hajia knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Watson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hajia, who protects the arm well. Watson wants to control but Hajia is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hajia shoots and misses and Watson counters by moving into the clinch. Watson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hajia clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Hajia has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Watson is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Watson looking to break Hajia's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hajia remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Watson will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Hajia wants to get back to his feet. Watson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hajia showing good submission defense here.
Watson is looking for the choke from the back position but Hajia is controlling his hands well. Watson working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Hajia controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hajia tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Hajia throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Watson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Watson wants to finish this one by submission but Hajia is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Watson. Watson working for a submission but Hajia is keeping him at bay. Watson has control of Hajia's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hajia regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Watson is landing with some decent strikes but Hajia is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Watson working for a submission but Hajia is keeping him at bay. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Watson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Watson is in the full mount, landing strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Watson is going olschool here, as he tries to force Hajia to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hajia shrugs it off. Watson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Hajia is desperately trying to improve his position but Watson has a good base and remains in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Watson scores a takedown into full mount! Watson looking for a guillotine from mount but Hajia is having none of it. Hajia defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Watson. Hajia throwing hammer fists to the chest of Watson. What's that going to do exactly? Watson has hold of Hajia's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hajia manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hajia defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Watson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Watson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hajia looks a forlorn figure.

And that's the end of the fight! Kayne Watson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Watson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
