Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Moss (ranked 6100 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Garcilazo (ranked 6041 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Garcilazo! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcilazo dives in for a single leg takedown but Moss sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Moss connects with a body shot that sends Garcilazo's belly button to the back. Moss throws a wild body kick that Garcilazo sees coming a mile off. Garcilazo shoots for a takedown but Moss saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Garcilazo. John Moss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Garcilazo. Moss lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Daniel Garcilazo has been cut. Garcilazo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Moss pushes Garcilazo off and gets back to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Moss takes the fight into the clinch. Moss gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Garcilazo.

Garcilazo misses with a takedown and Garcilazo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Moss, as that shot connected.
Garcilazo tries for a takedown but Moss circles away easily and Moss counters with a nice body shot. Moss lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moss closes the distance and pushes Garcilazo back into the cage. Moss wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Garcilazo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Moss gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Moss manages to break the clinch.
Garcilazo darts in looking for a takedown but Moss gets double underhooks and turns Garcilazo into the cage. Moss scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Garcilazo doesn't seem bothered though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcilazo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Moss to the ground. Garcilazo is now in Moss's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Moss has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Garcilazo has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Moss breaks the clinch.
Garcilazo shoots in but no luck this time. Moss feinted there with a counter leg kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Moss.
No luck for Garcilazo with that takedown attempt. Moss lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Garcilazo misses with a takedown and Moss counters with a left to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Garcilazo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Garcilazo lands strikes from half guard. Garcilazo decides to stand and escape the position. Garcilazo tries for a takedown but Moss circles away easily and Moss counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Garcilazo shoots in and gets a takedown into Moss's guard. Garcilazo chips away with some ground and pound. Garcilazo working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Garcilazo with a nice head shot there. Moss has momentary wrist control but Garcilazo slips an elbow through the middle. Moss lands with a shot to the body. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Moss here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Nice cross by Moss. Daniel Garcilazo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Garcilazo gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Garcilazo shoots in looking for a takedown but Moss manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Garcilazo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Garcilazo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

As Garcilazo looks to move away, Moss throws a big counter combo but Garcilazo just gets out of the way. Moss forces Garcilazo back against the cage and clinches. John Moss is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Moss moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Garcilazo with a poor takedown and Moss counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Moss throws a wild body kick that Garcilazo sees coming a mile off.

Moss lands a jab-cross combination. Moss with a body punch. A glancing blow. Moss connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Garcilazo momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A jab from Moss finds it's way through Garcilazo's defenses. Garcilazo shoots in but Moss avoids the takedown attempt easily. Moss wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Garcilazo shoots in for a takedown but Moss shows good takedown defense. Garcilazo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Moss to the ground. Garcilazo is now in Moss's guard. Moss pushes Garcilazo off and gets back to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Moss looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Moss scores with a decent looking hook.
And that's the end of the fight! John Moss showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Moss, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
