0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Tower! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tower tries to clinch but Moses is having none of it. Tower shoots and misses and Moses cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Moses tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nice takedown defense from Moses. No joy for Tower on that attempt. Tower misses with a takedown attempt and Moses moves into the clinch. Carmen Moses has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Tower. Tower is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Moses pulls him back up using the underhooks. Moses's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Moses tries to work over Tower's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Moses tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Moses in side control, just content to control the action for now. Moses is trying to get an arm triangle but Tower is defending well. Moses tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tower is trying to escape the position but Moses is controlling the position. Tower is trying to get back to half guard. Tower is trying to control Moses's posture but Moses avoids it. Tower wants to get back to his feet. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Moses has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Tower is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Moses yanks on the arm and Tower is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Moses.
