Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Audet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Paul Laurent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jean Paul Laurent has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Audet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Paul Laurent!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Audet.
Audet walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Laurent checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Audet is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Laurent closes the distance and clinches up with Audet, looking for a takedown. Laurent pushes Audet against the cage but Audet circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Laurent shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Audet as he jumps to the side.
Audet misses with a wild combination.
Jean Paul Laurent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Audet changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Laurent tries to avoid it but Audet manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Laurent to the ground. Laurent escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck for Audet with that takedown attempt.
Audet pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Laurent looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Audet drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Laurent shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Audet's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Audet throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.

Laurent is working Audet over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Laurent drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Laurent as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Audet screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Laurent! Nice submission victory there!
