Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Domingo Chavez (ranked 2527 p4p, 317 weight class) and Boris Kane (ranked 1541 p4p, 211 weight class). Kane is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Seek N Strike. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Domingo Chavez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boris Kane! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Chavez defending well as Kane loads up on a big left hand. Kane with a poor takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Kane paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. A looping hook to the body misses from Kane. Chavez does a little dance to reset his feet. Chavez appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Kane dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chavez moves away. Chavez uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
It looks like Boris Kane has been cut. The fighters circling - Kane throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A little feinted left hand from Chavez on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Boris Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chavez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kane looks to land a left hand but Chavez moved out of range nicely. Chavez loads up on a big right hand but Kane slips the punch. Chavez throws a jab but it's blocked by Kane. Kane lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chavez manages to avoid it. Kane fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Chavez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Chavez has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Kane is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Chavez rather than just go for the knockout. Good leg kick by Chavez there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

letting Kane counter with a right hand. Nice shot lands for Kane. Kane goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Chavez looks for the body kick but Kane saw that one coming. Chavez misses with a low kick.
Domingo Chavez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chavez tries a head kick but it misses.
Kane takes a swing at Chavez's ribcage but misses. Chavez jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Chavez chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kane tries a low kick but Chavez avoids it. Kane dives in and grabs Chavez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chavez pushes down on Kane's head and hops out. Chavez is looking to counter punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chavez clinches up with Kane and pushes him back against the cage. Chavez misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Chavez lands an uppercut. Kane has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Kane jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Chavez walks away with a smile on his face. Kane gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Domingo Chavez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boris Kane. Chavez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kane.
Kane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chavez manages to avoid it. Kane throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chavez manages to avoid it. Chavez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kane trying to control but Chavez is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chavez has Kane pulled in close to control his posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chavez keeping moving, preventing Kane from controlling successfully. Kane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chavez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kane passes Chavez's left leg - he's now in half guard. Chavez is positioning himself well to prevent Kane advancing to mount. Chavez works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Chavez wants to sweep here but Kane controlling him for the moment. Chavez seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Chavez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kane is one step ahead there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kane accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Chavez can't keep his opponent in guard - Kane advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kane not landing any meaningful shots this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boris Kane dominated that round. The cut man is working on Boris Kane's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kane connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Chavez lands a glancing blow to the side of Kane's head. Kane scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kane throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kane's coach down at Big dawg was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kane's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Chavez ducks right into an uppercut from Kane. Kane lands a right hook to the body.
Chavez instigates a clinch. Chavez scores with a nice hook to the head. Kane lands a body shot. Chavez swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kane content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Kane has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Chavez tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kane's elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chavez lands a shoulder strike. Kane is trying to push Chavez away but Chavez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Kane blocking some punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Kane taking a breather. Chavez working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Kane is rocked! Chavez lands a big right hand that drops Kane! The killer instinct kicks in and Chavez finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Chavez!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Domingo Chavez! A very excited looking Domingo Chavez rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
