Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clydee Forte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Forte comes to the cage accompanied by Psycho Holiday. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawler tries to clinch but Forte moves out of range.

Forte bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lawler is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Lawler is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Forte tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lawler's legs.
Lawler tries to buck Forte off but Forte is having none of it.

Forte advances nicely into full mount.

Lawler defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Forte.
Forte landing strikes from the mount and Lawler is in trouble!
Lawler tries to hold on but Forte postures up.

Forte stands up from mount. Strange move.

Forte closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Forte lands in his opponent's guard.
Forte stands and throws Lawler's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Forte thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Lawler tries to bench press Forte off him but Forte keeps the position.

Forte working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Forte is trying to get an arm triangle but Lawler is defending well.

Forte trying to control the action but Lawler is working from the bottom.
Lawler is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Forte throws an elbow but Lawler slips to the side and avoids it well.

Forte is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lawler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lawler manages to work his way to half guard, despite Forte's best efforts.

Lawler wants to control but Forte is keeping busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Forte counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lawler won't be happy with that.

and Forte counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lawler won't be happy with that.

Forte is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Forte extends the arm and Lawler is forced to tap!
