Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Audet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Shute (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shute has chosen Red Rider - Lunatic Fringe as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Nathan Audet has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nathan Audet seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Audet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Shute! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shute shoots in and drives through. Audet sprawls well. Brian Shute seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Audet takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Shute looks to land a right hand but Audet moved out of range. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Audet. Shute looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Audet pivots, looking for a leg kick but Shute is out of range and Audet settles back down. Shute throws a jab but it's blocked by Audet. Shute will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Audet scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Shute tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Shute has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Audet throwing shots but Shute is blocking nicely. Audet wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shute keeps working. Shute is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Audet missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Shute taking some punishment here, with Audet in his half guard. Shute throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Audet keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Audet rushes Shute and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Shute blocks an elbow strike. Shute wants to get back to striking at distance but Audet won't allow it.

Audet breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shute throws a right hand that Audet ducks under and follows up with a left that Audet also avoids with ease. Shute blocks a head kick by Audet.
Audet is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Audet tries to clinch up. Shute stuffs the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Audet shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shute pinned against the cage. Shute gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan Audet. That's going to take a lot out of him. Audet is looking to clinch. Shute misses with a looping right. Audet shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shute as he jumps to the side. Shute shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Audet wants to clinch up but Shute keeps it at a distance. Shute fails with the takedown. Audet gets in close and instigates a clinch. Audet landing knees to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Audet is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shute pulls him back up using the underhooks. Audet is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Shute can't fight it off and eventually Audet manages to take the fight to the floor. Shute looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Audet has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Shute looking for a sweep. Not yet Shute, not yet. Shute trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Audet keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shute's head. Shute wants to sweep here but Audet controlling him for the moment. Shute lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Audet! Shute is in the full mount, landing strikes. Audet is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Audet tries to reverse the position but Shute maintains control. Shute cracks Audet with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Audet is breathing heavily. Audet tries to hold on but Shute postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shute putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shute cracks Audet with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Shute working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Audet is rocked! Shute landing strikes from the mount. Oh Audet is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Shute lands a big elbow - Audet is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Audet is forced to tap out!
