Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roy Benavidez (ranked 2149 p4p, 277 weight class) and Ibrahim Suleyman (ranked 1145 p4p, 164 weight class). Ibrahim Suleyman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Suleyman has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Suleyman connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Benavidez's hands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Benavidez goes for a double leg but Suleyman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Suleyman continues to drive forward.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ibrahim Suleyman dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Suleyman counters with a series of strikes. Benavidez will be more careful next time no doubt.

Benavidez is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Suleyman's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Benavidez might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Benavidez is rocked!
Suleyman cracks Benavidez with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Benavidez tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Suleyman pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Benavidez is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ibrahim Suleyman!
In his post fight interview, Ibrahim Suleyman started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
