Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Efrain Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Young comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dont Sweat The Technique kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Efrain Santiago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Young! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santiago dodges the punch combination from Young.
The fighters circling - Santiago throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Santiago misses with a hook. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! No joy there for Young, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Santiago circles away from the clinch attempt.
Young instigates a clinch. Young tries to score a body lock takedown but Santiago shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Young fails to pull guard.
Young tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Santiago just stands there and leans against the cage. Efrain Santiago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Young. Santiago prevents a takedown attempt there.

Efrain Santiago is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Young closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Santiago to the mat! Santiago manages to get full guard. Young controls from within his opponent's guard. Santiago working a defensive guard here.
Young is pushing down on Santiago's leg trying to pass to half guard. Santiago is fighting to maintain full guard but Young has managed to sneak the leg through. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santiago looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Young is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Santiago sees it coming and defends easily. Young is trying to control the action in half guard but Santiago is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Young with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Santiago is refusing to be controlled, as Young sits in half guard. Young looks gassed! Young is looking for a kimura here.
Young is thwarting Santiago's attempts to control the position. Santiago tries to get to full guard but Young has control of the leg.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Young staying out of range there. Young looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Young. Santiago drops Young with a left and a right! Oh, Young is hurt - Santiago dives into side control looking to finish!
Young is rocked! Santiago has knee on belly and moves into mount. Young is still in real trouble! Can Santiago finish him? Santiago trying to control but Young is having none of it. Young seems to have recovered his senses. Santiago pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Santiago working for a submission but Young is keeping him at bay. Santiago is looking to work his way around to Young's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Santiago jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Young is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Young and Santiago has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Young jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Santiago walks away with a smile on his face. Young gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A combination from Santiago does no damage. Young is looking to clinch but Santiago is avoiding it.

Young closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Young fails to land the takedown. Santiago scores with a hook. Santiago connects with a right hand. Young shakes it off. Young throws a head kick but Santiago moves out of range.
Santiago looks to land a left hand but Young moved out of range nicely. Santiago digs a good body shot into Young's ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Young blocks a jab. A shot to de liver by Santiago. Beautiful body shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Santiago lands with an uppercut that bounces Young off the cage and back into rage. Efrain Santiago is winning the standup battle so far. Young moves away from the strike by Santiago. Efrain Santiago is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Young takes one to the chin there. Santiago lands with a nice body punch. Santiago lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Young - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Santiago!
