Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Rayne (ranked 23919 p4p, 724 weight class) and Jay J Jackson (ranked 20965 p4p, 699 weight class). Rayne comes to the cage accompanied by Thunderstruck. Jay J Jackson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddie Rayne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jay J Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rayne did well to prevent Jackson getting side control.

Rayne is defending against the submission attempts here by Jackson.
Jackson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Rayne controls his leg.
Jackson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rayne looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Rayne has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackson is working away from the top position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Still in half guard, Jackson seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rayne looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Jackson is controlling the pace.

Rayne actively working from the bottom here.
Jackson not doing much here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Rayne wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jackson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rayne stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rayne wants it to stay on the feet.

Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rayne's guard.
Jackson controlling from the top position.
Jackson works over Rayne with some ground and pound from guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rayne has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jackson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rayne.
Jackson grinds an elbow into Rayne's temple.
Rayne wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Rayne tries to escape but Jackson is in control.
Rayne tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jackson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Jackson decides to stand back up. Jackson steps back and let's Rayne get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jackson throws a sloppy head kick
and Rayne counters with a straight right hand.

Rayne gets caught flat footed, as Jackson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jackson cracks Rayne with a solid left hand.
Jackson is stalling in the full guard.

Rayne is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rayne can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jackson controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jay J Jackson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A punch combination from Rayne misses.
Rayne cracks a nice hook into Jackson's ribs.
Eddie Rayne is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jackson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Rayne throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range.
Rayne throws a lazy head kick

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rayne won't be happy with that.
You can see the frustration on Rayne's face as Jackson controls the position.

Jackson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Rayne is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jackson asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rayne is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Big Price MMA, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Jackson has an Americana. Rayne didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Jackson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Jackson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jay J Jackson!
