Van der Laan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Schwannegger swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Schwannegger closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Van der Laan to the mat! Van der Laan manages to get full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters circle, before Van der Laan throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Schwannegger's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Van der Laan lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
