Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Albert McCarthy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luc Kleynen!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kleynen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McCarthy avoids it really well and circles away.
McCarthy's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and McCarthy duly obliges.
Kleynen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
McCarthy lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kleynen feints and as McCarthy raises his hands in defense, Kleynen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
McCarthy is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kleynen drops back looking for a leg! McCarthy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McCarthy manages to kick Kleynen off! Kleynen jumps back into McCarthy's guard.
McCarthy pulls Kleynen in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McCarthy wants to get back to his feet but Kleynen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

McCarthy is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Kleynen presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Kleynen prevents McCarthy from breaking the clinch.
McCarthy lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kleynen backwards.
McCarthy makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Kleynen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McCarthy smiles and moves away.
McCarthy rushes Kleynen and presses him up against the cage.
McCarthy lands on the inside with an uppercut.
McCarthy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McCarthy lands a body shot in the clinch.
Kleynen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Albert McCarthy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luc Kleynen.
McCarthy can't break the clinch.
Kleynen has McCarthy pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McCarthy manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Kleynen jumps guard but McCarthy turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

McCarthy lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kleynen backwards.
McCarthy has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kleynen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McCarthy just stands there and leans against the cage.

Kleynen goes for a takedown attempt but McCarthy pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
McCarthy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McCarthy misses with a series of wild punches.
McCarthy lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
McCarthy feints a jab promting Kleynen to slip. McCarthy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kleynen slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
McCarthy takes the fight into the clinch.

McCarthy wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kleynen prevents McCarthy from breaking the clinch.
McCarthy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kleynen shoots in for a double leg but McCarthy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
McCarthy moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
McCarthy is pressed up against the cage. Kleynen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McCarthy down to the mat. McCarthy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kleynen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McCarthy's waist but McCarthy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kleynen off to one side.
Kleynen looks winded!

McCarthy gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kleynen.

Kleynen drops down looking for an ankle pick but McCarthy pulls his leg out and moves away.
McCarthy drops Kleynen with a beautiful combination! Kleynen stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - McCarthy is looking for the KO!
Kleynen is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McCarthy lands a big right hook! Kleynen looks hurt but is still standing! McCarthy lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Kleynen falls down and McCarthy dives in with a huge hammer fist! Kleynen's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and McCarthy runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Albert McCarthy!
The defeated Luc Kleynen had this to say: 'I lost against a fighter, who was today better as me, i'll be back stronger !!!'.
