And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Max Apollo!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apollo slips a straight right by Falco.

Apollo closes the distance and clinches.

Falco has Apollo pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Falco pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Apollo tumbling to the mat - Falco dives into Apollo's guard.
Falco works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Falco is working for a kimura but Apollo is defending it quite comfortably.

Apollo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Falco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Falco has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Apollo escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Apollo!

Falco tries to get to full guard but Apollo has control of the leg.
Falco has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Apollo is working away from the top position though.
Apollo prevents Falco from improving his position.

Apollo passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Who's going to make the next move?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Falco can't do much from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Max Falco will probably get the nod.

Falco has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Apollo should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Falco has tightened it up now! Apollo should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
