Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hideo Sakurai (ranked 2073 p4p, 242 weight class) and Chester Drawers (ranked 2646 p4p, 292 weight class). Sakurai kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Red Warrior. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hideo Sakurai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chester Drawers! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drawers bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Drawers keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Sakurai checks a leg kick. Drawers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Drawers moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Sakurai lands a jab to Drawers's midsection. Drawers misses with a low kick. Sakurai throwing a counter right hand but Drawers manages to avoid it. Sakurai moves out of range as Drawers throws a body kick.
Drawers has taken the fight to the clinch.
Drawers misses with a short punch on the inside. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A nice right hand lands inside from Drawers. Sakurai misses with some punches.
Drawers lands with a light punch inside. Sakurai lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Drawers throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Sakurai tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sakurai misses with a hook to the ribs.
Drawers scores with a nice hook to the head. Drawers swings wildly with an uppercut but Sakurai uses good head movement to avoid it. Drawers fails to pull guard.

Drawers is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Sakurai controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Drawers throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Drawers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sakurai doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sakurai manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Drawers looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Drawers is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sakurai defends well. Sakurai distracts Drawers with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Sakurai would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Drawers looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Drawers working for a triangle but Sakurai defends it easily.
Sakurai got a little sloppy there for a moment and Drawers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sakurai has managed to get both his arms back between Drawers's legs - danger averted. Drawers has his foot on Sakurai's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sakurai works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sakurai trying to stand up but can't free himself from Drawers's guard. Drawers throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Drawers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sakurai doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sakurai manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sakurai wants to stand but Drawers is controlling his posture from full guard. Drawers is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Drawers is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sakurai is aware though and is defending well. Drawers can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sakurai controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Drawers has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Sakurai doesn't defend quickly enough and Drawers has managed to lock this one up! Can Sakurai escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Drawers on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Chester Drawers! Chester Drawers spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant. In defeat, Hideo Sakurai stepped up to the mic, saying '......'.
