0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jan Molby! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Madnaugh scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Madnaugh is looking for a kimura but Molby is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Madnaugh to get the leverage. Madnaugh prevents Molby from improving his position. Madnaugh controlling the action here. Molby makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Molby. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Molby is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Molby keeping moving, preventing Madnaugh from controlling successfully.

Molby throws a right and a left that both miss. Molby displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Madnaugh. Molby leaves Madnaugh with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Molby throws a looping overhand right but Madnaugh ducks down to avoid it. Madnaugh shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Molby defends it nicely. That was a close round but I would say that Layko Madnaugh will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Molby misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Madnaugh's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Madnaugh is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. A head punch blocked on the inside by Madnaugh. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Molby is looking to take this one to the mat. Madnaugh is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Madnaugh tries to pull guard but Molby forces him back to his feet, against the ropes. Molby escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Layko Madnaugh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Madnaugh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Molby misses with a left hand and Madnaugh counters with a nice double leg into side control. Molby won't be happy with that. You can see the frustration on Molby's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Molby is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Madnaugh's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Molby works his way to full guard. Good work. Madnaugh looking to sit in guard and control but Molby gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Molby accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Molby avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Madnaugh is concentrating on defense, preventing Molby from advancing position. Madnaugh wants to improve his position but Molby is controlling well.

Madnaugh is trying desperately to improve position. Molby lands a heavy elbow. Molby with a couple of short strikes. Layko Madnaugh overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Molby tries to control but Madnaugh wriggling away. Molby breaks from Madnaugh's wrist control and lands an elbow. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Molby tries to control but Madnaugh wriggling away. Madnaugh is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jan Molby showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Molby is trying to get an arm triangle but Madnaugh is defending well. Madnaugh sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Molby has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Molby thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Molby looking to control but Madnaugh is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Molby working for a guillotine from mount but Madnaugh is in no mood to give up. Madnaugh is trying to escape the mount.

And that's the end of the fight! Jan Molby comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Molby has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
