Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Lynch (ranked 4426 p4p, 494 weight class) and Sparring Fighter 1 (ranked 6694 p4p, 607 weight class). Lynch comes into the arena with Dezarie / Most High blaring out of the sound system. Fighter 1 has chosen Lou Reed - The day John Kennedy Died as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

20 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Joshua Lynch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sparring Fighter 1! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter 1 throws a head kick but Lynch moves out of range.
Fighter 1 has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Fighter 1 throws a head kick that misses. Fighter 1 throws a head kick that misses. Lynch tests Fighter 1's chin there with a solid looking shot. Fighter 1 throws a sloppy head kick and Lynch moves out of range easily. Fighter 1 tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lynch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lynch definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Fighter 1 controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Lynch looking for a guillotine here but Fighter 1 defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fighter 1 trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lynch's guard. Lynch is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lynch is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fighter 1 is aware though and is defending well. Fighter 1 controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Lynch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fighter 1 slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A momentary lapse in concentration from Fighter 1 enables Lynch to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fighter 1 manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Lynch wants to control from the top but Fighter 1 keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynch postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Fighter 1 trying to keep a closed guard but Lynch is proving a slippery customer.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fighter 1 walks away with a smile on his face. Lynch gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Fighter 1 bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Fighter 1 lands with a nice body punch. Fighter 1 throws a sloppy head kick and Lynch moves out of range easily. Lynch's jab looks to have found its range, popping Fighter 1 under the eye. Fighter 1 tries a head kick but it misses.
It looked like Lynch was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Fighter 1. Fighter 1 lands with a kick to the temple. Lynch shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" A looping hook to the body misses from Lynch. Fighter 1 does a little dance to reset his feet. Fighter 1 throws a head kick that misses. Lynch appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Lynch throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fighter 1 tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lynch is in Fighter 1's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lynch is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lynch pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fighter 1 is keeping the position for now.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joshua Lynch. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lynch, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Joshua Lynch! A very excited looking Joshua Lynch rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. The defeated Sparring Fighter 1 had this to say: 'I'm still standing here, so you apparently didn't accomplish your goal.'.
