The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortier fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.

Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fortier pinned against the cage. Fortier gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Silva dives in and grabs Fortier's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fortier pushes down on Silva's head and hops out.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Silva crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fortier - the referee stops the clock and Silva gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fortier. Silva manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Fortier is looking to wear down Silva with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Fortier lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Silva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fortier avoids it really well and circles away.

Silva chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Fortier can pounce on him.

Fortier lands a big right hand that sends Silva crashing to the mat! Fortier stays standing though and waves Silva back to his feet!

Fortier lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Silva crumples to the floor! Fortier milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
