Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyreke Mechanic (ranked 2808 p4p, 353 weight class) and David Thomas (ranked 2934 p4p, 368 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mechanic's head backwards.
Thomas on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Thomas clinches.
Thomas throws a punch but it's blocked by Mechanic.
Mechanic throws a head punch that misses.
The referee is keeping an eye on Mechanic - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Thomas in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Mechanic walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Thomas drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Mechanic swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Thomas's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
